One (or two) Pentastock festivals in 2013?
Pentalog has taken the decision to celebrate its 20 years of existence. All those who took part in Pentastock 2010, celebrating 10 years of Pentalog in Romania and 5 years of Pentalog in the Republic of Moldova, remember this extraordinary and boisterous party preceded by a double concert of Bere Gratis and Iris for us only. This first festival brought together about 250 Pentalogians from the Balkans.
20 years ago, almost to the day, the first Pentalogians, still at the University of Orleans at the time, were feverishly preparing to embark on the adventure of their lives (but, I must admit, we weren’t aware of this back then).
During the seminar in Orleans, we announced all the managers that we have decided to start organizing a new Pentastock festival which will

What is social responsibility and what makes it different from social innovation? What is Pentalog‘s standing in these matters? What is the meaning of these two notions on our different offices?
On the occasion of Spring Campus de Croissance Plus, that Monica and me attended last weekend in Evian, we met two specialists in the field, namely Perrine and Pierre, both founders of La 2ème Maison, a company specialised in this field and a supplier of the greatests references of CAC40, among which Lafarge and Danone.
Social responsibility is practiced beyond national legal constraints. Once you find yourself on the territory of two countries, the legal aspects of one can largely exceed those of the other. A perfectly unified corporate vision of CSR is not easy to achieve. Thus, there are two

On March 21st I took part in États Généraux du Cloud organised by EuroCloud France association. It was a truly dynamic day with rich exchanges during the workshops, quality participants and companies that really deserved their prizes.
During this event, Ms Laure de la Raudière, MP (UMP) has made an interesting intervention talking about her vision of the digital economy where cloud has definitely a significant place.
The participants have largely admitted that the innovation and research & development start-up incentives are, in France, well implemented and truly valuable. In addition, emphasis was put on the improvement of OSEO practices.
We received from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research the renewal of our R&D tax credit accreditation for 2012-2014. This enables our customers to integrate part of

The first feedback on our new catalog and on the “Private Sales” policy
When our catalog was freely downloadable, we observed, outside the direct marketing campaigns, an amount of downloads per month that reached as many as 700. During campaigns, we even exceeded this figure sometimes during one day.
Our last campaign, which has just started, offers to download our new catalog from a space of the type “Private sales” on which the user has to create an account. The trend after the first delivery to 1,000 recipients shows us that the number of download requests on this campaign (total number of our contacts) should reach 200. When we know that an average Pentalog client brings more than €300,000 sales figure per year, we consider that it is worth the effort.
In the following months, we will propose them to discover in preview, in order to reduce the

The French IT outsourcing company, leader of the offshore-nearshore R&D in the European Union, reaches an organic growth of around 24% in the first quarter of 2012. Once again, it is the sales achieved outside France, in particular in Switzerland and Germany, that account for this achievement. The French group based in Orleans indeed continues to increase its production capacities for the first economy in Europe and is investing on ever larger businesses within the country.
France is very active when it comes to new customers at this beginning of the year. Pentalog indeed enjoys new commercial relations with very dynamic young companies, in the field of web and health, which represents a potential growth sector newly identified by Pentalog. First, in the web, operations start with the European leader of web browsers dedicated
A little revolution in consulting: setting up Pentalog Institute to reduce your experts’ cost of intervention
Several months ago, Cornel Fatulescu, Sophie Lelarge and me decided to set up a new high-level department dedicated to consulting operations in various fields with the aim of challenging the European leaders in discipline, based on many advantages that Pentalog has. These last years, we sometimes had to coexist with consultants from prestigious consultancies, invoicing between €750 and €1500 a day without making any difference compared to our best collaborators. Thus, we decided to reconcile Offshore and Consulting with the purpose of improving clients’ ROI for this type of service.
1. Geographical advantages:
Our presence in 8 European cities and in one Asian city enables us to incorporate diverse fields of expertise and activities, to have offices in the West, as well as in the East, and resources which are closer to the majority of

In 2012, Pentalog has a surprisingly good start of the year for offshore-neashore activities
The first weeks of 2012 have been very intense and do not seem anything like a regular start of the year. For instance, in January, production has not registered the slump to which IT services departments are so accustomed during this month when annual renewals are long coming. This year, January will be a month of high production. On the other hand, we are witnessing a high degree of anxiety in many clients. So, we are not envisaging the intense period of newbiz that we experienced in Q1 2011, even if we are expecting some confirmations to this effect. Also, several of our customers have lowered their business volumes with us. One has left us, a small-scale one though. Fortunately, this is not the attitude of the majority of our clients. Quite the contrary, our

It is a fact that most of us hesitate when it comes to turning to a 100% mobile (online) world, as up to now fares have been really high. And, while we hesitate, all the related services fail to take off. Once we receive attractive offers (Thank you Mr Niel ), we’ll most likely have fewer scruples about taking the leap: 3G tablets, 3G ultra-light laptops, etc. Thus, we could be connected “full time” to social networks, to our company’s information systems (IS), to objects (M2M), etc.
The attractiveness of mobile prices will be reflected on full data offers in the field of connected objects (M2M or Machine to machine), which will eliminate the last but one obstacle to M2M take off: its price.
Why did I say “the last

It is not our business policy to speak about potential contracts before signing them. However, these 3 particular business deals have a highly significant meaning. Their respective volume, in countries which are very far from each other, prove to what extent our nearshore service brand has henceforth become well-known. In Romania, Pentalog brand stands out as a national leader whose name is the first conjured up by those who want to carry out significant projects in sectors like software and internet. In Germany, our IT services company holds a place which can be henceforth comparable with the one held in France, not so long ago, in 2006 or 2007. We have gained our position in less than 3 years and we can see that things are definitely evolving. At the end of 2011,
